Die deutsche Bibelgruppe traf sich im November in der Kirche; ab Dezember wieder bei Frau Leicht zu Hause.

Sunday, October 16 at 2:00 pm at the Edelweiss Club: the Harmony Choir presented a special concertto celebrate the 50th anniversary of the choir.

Am Sonntag, den 16.10. um 14 Uhr fand im Edelweißclub ein besonderes Konzert statt: Der Harmonie-Chor feierte sein 50-jähriges Jubiläum!

We had a coffee afternoon on Saturday, October 29.

We invited everyone to join Lutheran Church of the Cross for an Easter morning sunrise

service on top of Mt. Tolmie, with a light breakfast afterwards at our church.

On February 27 after the 10 am combined service we had our Annual General Meeting.

Am 27. Februar fand nach dem Gottesdienst um 10.00 Uhr unsere Jahresversammlung statt.

Church member photos are needed:  Please send photos of yourself to tom@davenportmaps.com for the

new church directory. The present pictures are 3rd generation copies and are too fuzzy.

A draft copy is sitting on the coffee table for viewing. Alternatively Tom can scan a print from your photo

album or take your picture if you ask him.

Pastor Sandl sends his greetings. As pastor of Haag, Bavaria, he had the opportunity to travel to Zanzibar....!

But on Feb. 7 he wrote: "Nach all den vielen Reiseerfahrungen ist das Fazit halt doch klar: 

Canada ist das beste Land und ich freue mich darauf wieder heimzukommen."

(After all the travelling it is clear that Canada is the best country...)

Congratulations to our organist Jing Jing Wang and her husband Yi Yao who married in China in December.

Kumiko Hitomi was our organist from December 12 until Jing Jing’s return to Victoria later in January.

Donating poinsettias for the altar at Christmas was organized by Mrs. Tarwitz.

The Ladies had a Christmas Lunch on Friday, December 10 at Cedar Hill Golf Course.

On the First Sunday of Advent  (Nov. 28) we had lunch and music after the service.

At our Coffee Timeon October 23, Uschi and Helen Leslie

talked about their recent trip to Istanbul and showed some video and pictures.

The Vancouver Island Conference Convention was held

at Powell River October 15 and 16.

Our Summer Picnicwas at Beaver Lake on August 15.

Pastor Sandl showed Indonesia Slides on July 24, and

more Indonesia Slides on August 5.
